Avalanche Core Bridge is the canonical bridge between the C-Chain on Avalanche and Ethereum, plus a native Bitcoin bridge built into the Core wallet stack. The bridge is operated by Avalanche’s Warden network, with no added fees beyond gas.
Avalanche’s broader cross-chain story includes the Avalanche-9000 (Etna) upgrade and a number of subnet-specific bridges; Core Bridge is the primary user-facing entry into the Avalanche C-Chain. AVAX is the network’s native token.
