Deposits from Ethereum to Arbitrum complete in minutes; withdrawals to Ethereum follow the rollup’s seven-day fraud-proof window before funds are released on L1.
Because it is the canonical bridge, security inherits directly from the Arbitrum protocol itself rather than from a third-party validator set. ARB holders govern the surrounding stack — fee policy, sequencer rules, and treasury — through the Arbitrum DAO.
