Across is a fast cross-chain bridge that combines an optimistic-oracle settlement layer (UMA) with bonded relayers and single-sided liquidity. Relayers front the destination-chain funds for fast user transfers, then claim back from the source-chain pool after the optimistic-oracle window verifies validity.
The design is one of the cheapest and fastest user-facing L1↔L2 bridges in DeFi. ACX is the governance token.
