Rocket Pool

Rocket Pool is a permissionless liquid staking protocol designed to maximize validator decentralization. Stakers deposit ETH and receive rETH, a non-rebasing LST whose exchange rate increases as staking rewards accrue. Validator operators run nodes by bonding their own ETH plus a quantity of RPL, the protocol’s collateral token.

This structure means anyone can become a Rocket Pool node operator with as little as 8 ETH plus RPL collateral, dramatically lowering the barrier compared to solo staking’s 32 ETH. The Rocket Pool oDAO oversees protocol oracles and parameters; the broader RPL-holder community governs the protocol.
