The Polygon zkEVM Bridge is the canonical bridge between Ethereum and Polygon zkEVM, a zero-knowledge validity rollup. Withdrawals settle to L1 once a STARK proof verifies the new state, with no fraud-proof challenge window required.
As the canonical bridge for a validity rollup, security inherits directly from the zk proof system rather than from a separate validator set. The bridge is part of the broader Polygon AggLayer evolution toward unified rollup interoperability.
