Function issues FBTC (ƒBTC), a pegged Bitcoin token built around a federated custody and minting model. The goal is to provide a Bitcoin wrapper that combines the deep DeFi composability of WBTC with a more diversified custody surface across multiple custodians and jurisdictions.
FBTC participates in Bitcoin DeFi venues across multiple EVM and BTC-aligned chains as collateral and yield primitive. Like other custodial wrappers, the trust model is the operational integrity of the participating custodian set.
